Pugi

I was talking with Metilda (the Italian teacher) the other day and we came upon the subject of where to get bread. She recommended a store called Pugi saying they made a world famous flatbread that was a little expensive but it was her favorite. I had tried some bread from another place and it was good but I wasn't very impressed. Everything in Italy is priced (and often sold) by the kilo. 1 kilo is about 2.2 pounds. A kilo of bread is a whole armful and can run about €2-4. It's a really good deal for how much bread you get. The bread I got last time however was a bit hard on the outside and didn't taste really good if you didn't cook it somehow. Pugi was just a little ways up The street my school is on and its a very small shop. there is one lady that works there and there is little room inside the store. All they sell is bread and pizzas and there seem tp always be a few people waiting around for pizzas or something. they are also only open till 3. Its a neat store! At Pugi I decided to get one of their flatbreads and it was really good! It was about €2.50 for about 2 slices of it. The slices were about the size of a really large slice of pizza. The bread is thin and crunchy but isn't difficult to eat at all. It has a perfect crunch and a slightly salty flavor. It is EXCELLENT to use for pizza and once you eat a little piece, you quickly want to eat another, and another, until there is no more left. I gotta get some more bread from Pugi!
Flatbread!
